MODULE 5: SOFTWARE FOR ELT

a. What do you like about this module?

I like this module because it taught me a lot of things that can be created by using Microsoft Publisher which I never knew before.

b. What do you not like about this module?

There is nothing I do not like about this module because every single thing I learned about Microsoft publisher is very useful.

c. What do you like about the task given for this module?

The task given for this module is like a practice for me so I know to what extent I did really understood what I have learned from the module.

d. What do you not like about the task given for this module?

There is nothing I do not like about the task given for this module. I think it is entirely beneficial to me.

e. What are the specific skills that you learn in this module?

Specifically, I learned a lot about Microsoft Publisher and it is very useful as I can use it to create my teaching aids later.

f. How the skills learnt in this module can help in the making and choosing of teaching aids for the ELT classroom?

Learning about Microsoft Publisher will help me to create various interesting teaching aids for my student to keep them interested in my class.

If you can change anything about this course, state what is and elaborate?

I think student were burdened with too many tasks for this course. I believe if the tasks are lessened and an appropriate time was given to students, they would be able to come out with more quality work.

MODULE 4: VIDEO EDITING SKILLS

a. What do you like about this module?

I like this module because I have learned a lot on video editing and also on creating my own video. It is very interesting though.

b. What do you not like about this module?

I like all the contents in the module as it helps me to expand my skills and I will surely use it in my teaching in the future.

c. What do you like about the task given for this module?

I like the task given for this module because it helps me to sharpen my skills in video editing.

d. What do you not like about the task given for this module?

Particularly, there is nothing I do not like about the task given for this module.

e. What are the specific skills that you learn in this module?

I have learned a lot about video editing. Now, editing video or making a video on my own is not a problem to me anymore.

f. How the skills learnt in this module can help in the making and choosing of teaching aids for the ELT classroom?

By learning the video editing skill, I can make my teaching more interesting by adding up edited videos that suits the lesson taught in the classroom.

MODULE 3: AUDIO EDITING SKILLS

a. What do you like about this module?

I like this module because it taught me on editing audio files by using the suitable software which is very new to me.

b. What do you not like about this module?

There is nothing I do not like about this module because the contents are really beneficial to me.

c. What do you like about the task given for this module?

The task given for this module is good as a way to apply what I have learned throughout the module. Just like photo editing, sound editing is also a very interesting skill to be learned.

d. What do you not like about the task given for this module?

I like all task given for this module. I enjoyed doing each of them.

e. What are the specific skills that you learn in this module?

I have specifically learned the skill of editing audio file. Apparently, I can cut any audio file or apply other features in the software to make a nice ringtone for my mobile phone.

f. How the skills learnt in this module can help in the making and choosing of teaching aids for the ELT classroom?

I can improvise my teaching material by adding up the edited audio files. That would be very interesting and could attract pupils to concentrate to the teaching.

MODULE 2: PHOTO EDITING

a. What do you like about this module?

This module provides me the skills for picture editing which is very useful as I can apply it in my teaching in the future.

b. What do you not like about this module?

I do not like the certain incomplete steps for picture editing in this module. I believe students would not get confused while editing pictures if the module is complete.

c. What do you like about the task given for this module?

By doing the task given for this module, I could apply all the skills I have learned on picture editing. That would help me a lot in designing my lesson plan in the future.

d. What do you not like about the task given for this module?

There is nothing I do not like about the task given for this module. I think it is entirely beneficial to me.

e. What are the specific skills that you learn in this module?

In this module, I have specifically learned the editing skills. I found photo editing is very interesting. I could use the skills for personal purposes or as one of my hobbies as well.

f. How the skills learnt in this module can help in the making and choosing of teaching aids for the ELT classroom?

The skills would help me to create interest in my teaching materials by adding the edited photos to the teaching material and that will make the teaching and learning process become less boring and more effective.

MODULE 1: INTERNET AND COMPUTING SKILLS

a. What do you like about this module?

I like it when I was taught on how to use various software to convert different type of files such as video, audio and ppt. Plus, I also like the part when I learned on how to upload and download files to or from the internet which I found very useful for me.

b. What do you not like about this module?

The only thing that I do not like about this module is the part where some steps are a bit unclear. I believe I would not have faced difficulty to complete this module if those blurry steps were made clearer.

c. What do you like about the task given for this module?

The task given for this module is good as a way to apply what I have learned throughout the module.

d. What do you not like about the task given for this module?

I think it would be better if the time given to complete the task was longer.

e. What are the specific skills that you learn in this module?

The specific skills I learnt from this module are on the usage of various conversion software. In addition, it helped me a lot in other modules.

f. How the skills learnt in this module can help in the making and choosing of teaching aids for the ELT classroom?

I could convert certain files to suit my LP and thus, I could improvise teaching aids by it.

Reflection of the courses

What do you like about this course?

This course is very practical. I was exposed to a lot of software on the internet that I never knew about them before. All the knowledge learned from this course is very useful and I will surely practice what I had learned from this course in the future.

What you do not like about this course?

There is one thing I found quite upsetting about this course; which is the time given for every task assigned. In my opinion, I should have been given more time to finish up the module and the task.

What have you learnt from this course?

I had learnt a lot from this course. Apparently, I have become more familiar with Adobe Photoshop CS3, FxFoto, Audacity, etc. I found all these software are very useful and it would be a lost for me if I was not exposed to them. Now I can improvise my lesson plan by adding up technology in it.

What have you learnt from this course that you did not expect to?

I never thought that I would have the chance to learn about picture editing, video editing and Microsoft publishing product. Those skills are so useful to me.

What have you expected but do not learn from this course?

I thought I would learn about microteaching. Unfortunately, I did not get that chance.

Reflection of Blogging

What do you like about blogging?

Blog is my passion. It is a borderless sharing medium on the internet. Since I have a newsletter that goes theoretically once a week, blogging is the best medium to share all the inputs among students. Apart from that, blog is also a place where I can express my opinion in an interesting way which is by adding related images or videos in every post. By making it interesting, people would not hesitate to read it and thus, the process of sharing knowledge from each other became easier.

What you do not like about blogging?

There are a few things that do not like about blogging. Since blog is not entirely interactive; I mean not as interactive as talking face to face, people might misinterpreted the contents of the posts. Therefore, any information intended for the readers need to be explained clearly. Other than that, I found blog is quite difficult to maintain. I need to spend a lot of time on it in order to keep it updated.

What have you gained from blogging e.g. Language skills, improved fluency, critical thinking, improved thought processes, technology skills etc. How?

Blogging helped me a lot in improving myself in many skills. In every entry posted, I need to think thoroughly on what to be expressed regarding that particular topic and I also need to make it understandable in the most interesting way by adding photos and videos. Thus, I have applied several technology skills especially in adding photos or videos in my post and upload them to be published.
